Immersive Storyteller
I merge art, science, and technology to create immersive experiences that deepen human understanding. From founding BioLucid, a pioneer in medical visualization and digital health, to my current work aboard Odyssey, a 50-foot sailing catamaran turned floating XR studio, my journey has always followed one compass point — using creativity and technology to help people see differently.
Today, that vision continues through Captain VR, where immersive media and AI intersect to educate, relax, and inspire — extending from patient experiences at Moffitt Cancer Center to global explorations at sea.
The Artist’s Journey
From Canvas to Code
My creative path began as a painter, traveling the world by sea to capture landscapes and emotion on canvas. Those early voyages ignited the idea that technology could one day extend human creativity into new dimensions.
That idea became BioLucid, founded in 2001 — a company that merged art and science to visualize the human body in immersive 3D. BioLucid’s patented Living Medical Environments® and YOU VR platform helped millions understand their health and was later acquired by Sharecare.
Today, that same vision fuels my work in AI, XR, and digital therapeutics — creating experiences that not only inform but also calm, inspire, and connect.
Captain VR
Immersive Digital Health for the Future
Captain VR is the evolution of my life’s work — a studio dedicated to developing immersive experiences that support education, relaxation, and resilience.
Our collaborations with Moffitt Cancer Center and Ringling College of Art and Design have already produced groundbreaking work — from Vibe and MRIdian VR to the new Adventures with Mac for the SPEROS FL Proton Therapy Center.
Step into the adventure. My 360° drone films and immersive videos don’t just capture a destination — they place you inside its light, rhythm, and atmosphere. Each story unfolds as if you were sailing alongside me, riding the winds, and discovering new horizons in real time.
From sweeping aerial panoramas to intimate details ashore, my photography reveals the true spirit of place — sea, sky, and the moments in between. Each image is a visual postcard from the journey: part art, part memory, always an open invitation to explore further.
Vision & Collaboration
From Exploration to Innovation
Whether crossing oceans or exploring the inner workings of life itself, my journey has always been guided by the same light — a belief that art and science are two sails on the same vessel. Today, I collaborate with technologists, researchers, and visionaries to build the future of immersive storytelling and digital health.
